Kim Fawcett is the President and Founder of Awaken, a consulting and wellness practice that blends nonprofit strategy with soul-centered leadership. Kim is both an accomplished fundraising professional and a spiritual guide, uniquely positioned to help organizations grow while reinspiring the people who serve within them.
Early in her career, Kim established herself as a successful political fundraiser before bridging into the nonprofit sector as a Chief Revenue Officer. There, she helped lead her organization from under $2 million annually to nearly $7 million in just four years—all while executing a $12 million capital campaign. She has repeatedly demonstrated her ability to design and execute strategies that simultaneously build annual operating revenue and secure the capital needed for expansion. As a nonprofit executive, she guided her team through COVID, leadership transitions, and a $14 million campaign, coining the phrase “spirit-led professionals” to inspire alignment between daily work and professional callings.
Alongside her professional accomplishments, Kim has cultivated a lifelong spiritual journey. A practitioner of daily prayer, meditation, and contemplative silence, she loves Jesus and the deep truths found in His teachings, while also honoring wisdom from other spiritual traditions. At age 52, she returned to graduate school to earn a master’s degree in Transformative Spirituality to complement her master’s in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University. She is a certified Immersive Experience Leader and Guided Meditation Coach, with training in Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapy and Integrative Energy Therapy.
Kim’s life mission is to be a source of clarity, energy, and inspiration—helping individuals and organizations carve pathways that awaken purpose and align with vision. She is the proud mother of three adult children, one of whom recently served with the U.S. Peace Corps in Africa. Her absolute best friend is her dog, Theosis (“Theo”), who is almost always by her side and often makes a joyful appearance on Zoom calls. Kim makes her home in Connecticut, travels extensively, and seeks renewal in nature—often through long ocean walks that embody her favorite spiritual practice of listening, reflecting, and finding peace.
